Henna Tattoos

Henna tattoos are non-permanent dying or staining on the top layer of skin using a henna paste product, the process is called Mehndi. The tattoos are generally an intricate design and brown in color. They will fade in time, about 2-4 weeks, depending on the type of henna that has neen used and your teen’s care of the area that was tattooed. It is close to impossible to remove except through the natural fading but, some believe you can speed up the fading by applying hydrogen peroxide to the area daily.

Procedure and Aftercare

The pre-formulated henna paste is put in a cone which is usually made of thin plastic film.

We do not use any stencils for creating designs. All Tattoo designs are done freehand using either the artist’s imagination or reproducing any pre-selected design from our house catalog or any other source of our customer’s choosing.

Once the application is complete, we allow 15 to 20 minutes for drying and then superficially apply a fluid mix of lime and sugar that helps to keep the printed paste intact.

Please allow at least 20 more minutes for the henna to set and stain the skin before you gently scrape off the paste. For best results, we recommend a longer setting time (45 minutes to an hour depending on weather conditions and the individual’s patience levels).

Please avoid washing or rinsing the tattooed area for a few hours to allow the henna color to stain well.

Depending on the skin type, over the next 48 to 72 hours the Tattoo attains its darkest tone.
